Troop 344 and Troop 9344 are linked troops, one for boys and one for girls ages 11 through 17. The Troops goals can best be summed up by a quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt, "We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future." We strive to maintain a balanced program of activities throughout the year to challenge the Scouts both mentally and physically, emphasizing leadership and character development in the Scouting tradition. The Troop participates in a wide range of activities and schedules at least one activity each month. Our activities during the past several years have included a weekend of winter camping, downhill skiing, orienteering meets, and short backpacking trips. We alos go to a week-long summer camp and plan high-adventure trip each year.
